Government
The government plays an important part in our community and has a lot of roles and responsibilities. Sometimes you may not agree with a decision someone from the government has made because of how it affects you, your family or community. It may be an administrative decision about your Blue Card, tax, licence or permit or an action like police moving a person on or arresting them or the medical treatment or health services you get at hospital.
Mike was out one night having some drinks with his cousins when he was charged with being a public nuisance. While Mike says that he was a bit drunk in public he says there were also a lot of other people who were drunk in public and were not charged.
Mike thinks he was picked on because of his history.
