Fines
A fine is a penalty which can be given by the Court, police or council for breaking the law. It is money which you have to pay to the government as your punishment for breaking the law.
Michael has been given a $200 fine for drink driving. He works for the local seafood factory but the crayfish season has not been good and he thinks it will take him a while before he can pay his whole fine.
